Wow, too peaceful.
A few days ago, I took Max for a walk behind our house – across the (now frozen) salt marsh. As we neared the end, where it abuts another street, there out of the trees came a fairly large female deer. We stood there watching each other for a minute, until a hawk flew out of a snowbank from the left. I had to catch myself. Sometimes I still can’t believe I live here. Literally a world away from West Philadelphia.

That looks lovely! I mean it looks kind of bleak in a lovely way.

Connie, the snow bank is always whiter. Trust me – I love it, but MAN would it be nice to feel the sun sizzling on my skin. Or at least ON MY SKIN. I’m having to wear so many layers I look like the kid in Christmas Story.

I must note, it is exceedingly funny to me – that we have moved north and for the first time in YEARS Philly is getting more snow than Maine. Well – not quite, but they seem to be getting hammered!

Looks like our back yard! When were you here? Whilst we were at work?
