Well, at least it’s a lovely shot of the grass just in front of the bird …

Please note: the grass is greener on the other side (being that this shot is in my neighbors lawn from my lawn)

After being envious of all my friends I finally bought a really great camera!
I am still learning and the more I read the more confused I get πŸ™‚ A friend of mine showed me a few things about the white balance, the iso and metering and it has helped. I have been practicing in manual mode. I take about a hundred pictures to get a few that are really good LOL

I like the photo. I read somewhere if you set your camera on an aperture priority the bird will be more in focus????????????

Those bluebirds are flighty little things.
I was using my telelens because they don’t care for the beep-beep of the focus grid.
With it being dusk, etc. I didn’t have enough time to adjust for the constantly changing light/focus.
I picked up a couple of books from the library about SLR for complete dummies and they make it seem so easy.
Now I can understand how professional photographers need to take so many photos.
